It fits projects that need underwater shape, depth changes, or bathymetric detail that a land survey cannot capture on its own. The method is selected based on the site, the water conditions, and the deliverables the project team needs. If the job also needs land control or surface context, AMI can coordinate a combined dataset.
Timing depends on scope, access, weather, and the requested deliverables. AMI reviews those factors before scheduling so the plan is realistic for the site and the project timeline. Prompt response is available during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
Before fieldwork, AMI reviews the site, access, reference needs, and deliverables. During the survey, sonar and positioning data are collected and checked for usable coverage. Afterward, the data is processed into the agreed deliverables, which may include surfaces, profiles, cross sections, or CAD and GIS compatible files.
Cost depends on the size of the area, access conditions, water depth, control requirements, and the final deliverables. A useful quote starts with the site location, project purpose, and the files or drawings your team needs. That information helps AMI price the work based on scope instead of guesswork.
